Climate change and the related migratory movements it may trigger are still very new fields of study. This webpage aims to generate debate and gather information on issues about vulnerable communities on the move/discussing migration in Central America and worldwide, good and bad practices of migration as an adaptation/risk reduction measure, climate change impacts, particularly sea-level rise and community-based strategies to adapt to them, etc. Central America remains the main focus area but comparative studies are more than welcome. Main objective is creating a pool of knowledge to serve as a base to demand changes in migratory legislation. Migrants on the move due to adverse impacts of climate change currently remain completely unprotected.
