We organize Spanish Immersion Programs in Costa Rica during the summer term (July, August, September) for students of Intermediate or Advance levels of Spanish. The Program is designed to suit needs and preferences of students in order to improve their conversational skills. There are 5 approaches to the Immersion Program, and different activities within them. Students can choose from:
Sports – surfing/horse riding/fishing
Health – Practicing yoga
Environment – Helping at Cahuita National Park/turtle nesting
Research – Collaborating on gathering/analysing data on the Kuna migration to mainland Panama
Culture – Visiting and reporting on Indigenous groups in the area
We will count, for the 2015 Immersion Programs, with the collaboration of Dr. Marina Monguillot, Coordinator of Master´s Thesis at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Economic revenues gathered from the Immersion Programs will support us in order to keep the place affordable for researchers in Central America staying long-term. They will also finance periodic short trips to Panama to monitor Kuna migration to mainland.
